Grab the charcoal and fire up your grill as Saturday afternoon at the expo turns tasty with the 2nd annual Arkansas Great Steak Cook-off outside the expo. Gather
up a team and try your hand at cash and prizes. Sponsored by Lawhorn’s Signature Seasonings.

Bring your appetite and purchase steaks from the cooking teams for only $8.00 per steak! First come, first served.

Contest Details

August 18th
10:00 am (setup begins!)
4:00 pm (fire up your grill!)
5:00 pm (judging)

• Teams are free to begin setup beginning at 10 am on Saturday August 18
• Cooking begins Saturday, August 18 at 4 pm.
• Steaks will be provided to each team for cooking
• Entries will be submitted in an approved container. Only the entry to be judged is allowed in the container.
• Judging will begin at 5:00 pm Saturday evening.
• Each team will be given a turn-in time. Teams will have a 5 minute window before/after their assigned turn-in time to submit their steak.
• Judging categories include: appearance, level of doneness, tenderness, and taste. Judges will score steak on a scale of 0-10 in each category.
• Steak with the highest combined score of all four categories will win
• $35 entry fee
• Teams will be given additional steaks which will be supplied to the expo crowd.
• Applications need to be received by August 18, 2012.
